The Hebrew word חֶסֶד (hesed) speaks to a deep, unwavering love. While commonly translated as steadfast love, lovingkindness, mercy, or faithfulness, no single English word fully captures its meaning. Hesed reflects the covenantal nature of God's love—loyal, relational, and enduring. Learn more about Hesed.

Creativity plays a central role in the work of Hesed House. As creative beings, it is one of the most profound ways we connect—with ourselves, with others, and with the Lord. Learn more about creativity.

Meet Michelle
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creating as a way to process my faith, my feelings, and all the ups and downs of life. Along the way, I’ve learned that color and imagery often say more than words, that the meaning we make matters more than the hardships we have faced, and that pouring our hearts onto a page is a beautiful form of prayer.
I’ve also seen firsthand how much we all long for deeper connection, and how the simple act of creating anchors us right back to our Creator, ourselves, and each other.
Having experienced the incredible, restorative power of faith-infused creativity, I am so excited to pull out a chair and welcome you to the table.
